The Future Of Ideas

  • Copyright and such laws are not couraging for the creativity and creative persons. Actually these laws are against the freedom of ideas. A person cannot imagine freely. He cannot express him self freely. Actually by doing this you are restricting the minds of creative persons. As human being every body has right to express his imagination and creativity. If you have a piece of art or some kind of imaginative thing, you cannot show directly just because of copyright laws. It is just wastage of creativity.
  • Lessig talks about the black spot in our culture and its harm. He talks about our blindness to the innovation and the potential of the internet. This has also harmed the internet entrepreneurs, authors and artists. We are blind to potential of internet and this will undetermined its potential.
  • Digital technology has made our life easier and it is one of the reason of falling cost of production. Digital technology has taken place of non digital technology. It is due to fact that it is cheaper, efficient and advance than non digital technology. Digital technology has reduced the cost of the digital creation.
  • According to lessig the word consumer signifies the person that is at rest. That is fed by other, silent, resting place.
Not really that the blog writers, digital artists and music mixers are strictly consumers of Internet services because of they collectively participated to create something new the always tried to make something creative.
  • If one can use the resources freely without the permission of anyone else; or the permission one needs is granted neutrally is called free resources. The state or market defines the free resources in the society
  • The production of resources does describe how to access these resources. For example we use the road without paying. But we have to pay to access the chewing gum. We read history without paying to the researcher. So the production is different from the access. Resource production doesn’t defined whether it is control or free access resource.
  • There are many resources that cannot be forced to be free, for example we have some personal resources that we don’t want to be shared. There are many disadvantages such as if our all resources are accessed by the others so we will not have privacy. Similarly if government grant access to the security resources it can cost the government a lot. Privacy cannot be maintained by forcing all resources to be free.
